Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was when he was in college. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active in both films and television, but it was his character in the smaller screen which gave him popularity and much admirers. The actor has the ability to play characters from both the bad and good side that are part of our legal system. He can draw the attention of viewers effortlessly. His first project was a television serial, but he later played as a detective with the NYPD. In recognition of his performance in the small screen, he's been nominated numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. One of his most distinctive facial traits is believed to be his piercing blue eyes which have helped him portray characters who appear rough and fascinating. He was named on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
